Tess is an emerging artist at Dark Matter Tattoo Gallery who apprenticed under Antonio (@blkngray). She believes in the transformative power and collaborative nature of tattoos. As a new artist, she is eager to expand her style and collaborate with your ideas. Tattoo Aftercare
Second Skin/Saniderm Instructions:
1. Leave on for 3-5 days
2. To remove, run under warm water in shower and peel from a corner
3. Wash well with soap and water
4. Moisturize with lotion 1-3x / day until fully healedGeneral Aftercare Instructions:
1. Always wash hands thoroughly before touching your tattoo
2. Use unscented antibacterial soap
3. With a non-saniderm bandage, leave on for 2 hours or overnight
4. Wash immediately when you remove bandage
5. Pat dry with a clean paper towel
6. Apply a thin layer of ointment (Aquaphor, Vitamin E, Hustle Butter) to clean and dry tattoo 1-3x / day until peeling begins
7. Once peeling, apply a thin layer of moisturizing lotion 1-3x / day until fully healed
8. Avoid hot tubs, pools, lakes, tanning, direct sunlight during healing process (2-4 weeks)
9. Always use sunscreen outside to keep tattoo looking good
